Train to provide support to nurses and physicians with a certificate as a Health Care Technician

A health care technician, also known as a nursing assistant, assists nurses and physicians with basic patient care. Health care techs are employed in facilities like hospitals or long-term assisted living centers helping patients with daily activities like bathing and eating. NSCC’s Health Care Technician one-year certificate program is designed to prepare students for employment as entry-level health care techs in a variety of health care setting and positions. For those students interested in creating a pathway into another health related program or career, courses in this program may meet some of the recommended or required admission prerequisites, and some program requirements in another NSCC health related program.
